The Super Bowl of Black History in Detroit!

What up doe?

A very eventful weekend we have! Today starts Black History Month, and the world's most watch television event is Sunday Night, Super Bowl XLVII!

We here at Detroit Does It, loves culture, and Detroit has more than most cities. We also love museums!

The DIA is holding a month long African American history exhibit kicking off with one of our personal favorites, Friday Night Live!

Right down the street is and tomorrow, the Detroit Historical Museum is hosting a great African American Day Celebration!

Sorry to break the bond of brotherhood and unity, But 3 big games this weekend!

MSU and UofM face off TWICE in NCAAH, tonight, and Saturday night!

A game everyone will be watching, Super Bowl XLVII, with over 30 places having events there sure to be someplace to enjoy the Harbowl! The game even has a head coach, 2 players, and a coordinator in the game!

Earlier that Sunday, DDI will be at the Pistons vs Lakers game, it's going to be a good one, even if we lost our last remaining 2004 champion, Tayshaun Prince!

  1. Wow ...what a busy weekend! There is something for everyone this weekend in the Detroit area. You have to try real hard to be bored! Thanks for the post. The Detroit area is a great place with a lot that happens. I think the happenings are not publicized as good as they can be though. Your blog will definitely help!
